New coupon holders

New coupon holders have arrived in my shop. Not just the standard six pocket ones either. We now have ones with an extra pocket and ten pocket ones. They are both ones that I've thought about but it took my own coupon holder to be too full to kick me into gear. The extra pocket ones I got the idea from my old plastic coupon holder. It had this extra pocket in the front that you used to put all the coupon that you were using on that trip in.

The ten pocket is more for the serious couponer. My personal six pocket one is currently has the the following tabs: bath, dog, refridgerated, regular, frozen, and other. But when you clip alot of coupons, it tends to get crowded. So I finally cracked down and made ones with more pockets.
Unfortunately I still don't have one for myself :( lol I just can't decide what I want mine to look like. I plan on making myself a new shopping organizer to go along with it so it takes alot more planning.

I have a tip for those that may be one of those serious couponers. Have two coupon holders. I do. My other one is for organized by stores. Whether it is for that particular store coupons or for the coupons I plan on using at that particular store. It makes it so much easier and makes checking out faster.

I hope you enjoy the new items and Happy Crafting everyone!

About time!

Finally can show off my shopping organizer! You've been reading about them and me saying over and over that pictures will be up soon. Well that time is now! I would've had them up sooner but just finished it this morning. I ran out of big pieces of velcro after making the one for a giveaway that is coming soon but keeping that one a secret till the time comes :) Anywho enough already of the gibber jabber, here's two of the pictures, to see more, check out the shop for it is currently for sale: http://www.etsy.com/listing/76534989/ladybug-garden-shopping-organizer

The best feature of this is the coupon holder is detachable! It is held in by velcro. I'm currently using one I made with my church logo on it but after making this one and the giveaway one I might have to make myself a new one. I've already started work on some more of these and have plenty of ideas for more. Plus don't forget custom orders are available. Happy Crafting!

So much easier

Wow! What a difference a new cutter makes! I broke down today and got a guillotine trimmer. Which by the way Walmart sells for only $25! I have to go back to Staples and return the one I got there (their's was $35). I had decided to get one since I was faced with cutting chipboard for 100 notepads. I had been hand cutting it with my razor but boy does that kill your hand. I'm so glad I did. I've already cut all the back pieces for the notepads and taking a break from cutting the paper. It is a definite time saver.

In project news: I'm currently wrapping up the items for that giveaway I mentioned before. I finally figured out the best way for the closures on the shopping organizers. I'll have pics up of atleast one of them probably Monday. Also been trying to keep up with the coupon holder sales. I've tried something new, I used a book page instead of patterned paper and I love how it turned out!

This one is a Twilight one and can currently be found in the shop. I'm in the process of trying to make a Harry Potter one.

I also got a new border punch yesterday at Michael's. I found it on clearance for only $7.00! I had to talk myself out of the other one they had marked down. I immediately came home and made this one. I just wish I had this one when I made the gifts for my son's teachers.

Lastly I'm trying to squeeze in making some more corner bookmarks. I've been collecting things for the past few months for them but just haven't had the time to focus on them. Also I guess this could be considered project news since it seems like the biggest one of all, cleaning my craft room! I've made some major progress though can't tell too much by looking at it lol. I'm hoping by July it will be done as much as I can for now. Of course I'll have pics up when I am done. Well break time is over, Happy crafting everyone!

Light up the day

New items up at the shop! What are they? Candles! Tealights to be exact. Tealights are my favorite candles and for the first time I've made them available at the shop. Let me note that I did not make the candles themselves, they were bought. I would love to get into candle making but can not right now. Though there will be something in the works in a few months **hint hint**. There are two types that I've added right now, the first are my candle-pops.
I've only posted 2 scents and unscented so far but more will be posted over time. I love these so much! You may recognize these from previous posts with gift baskets in them and the giveaway I did a few months ago. They make such great basket fillers and party favors too!

Next I posted a couple of the tealight boxes.
These each contain four scented candles inside a simple slide box. Again they make great fillers and favors. This particular one features a digital stamp by Dustin Pike, one of my all time favorite artists. I hope you all are enjoying the new items! Happy Crafting!

Cleaning and giveaways

So it's looking like June is going to be just as busy as any month for me. Nothing too crazy but enough to keep me busy. So if you regularly check my shop you'll notice more and more items being posted. That's because I'm cleaning out my stock. I'm going to be doing a fair at the end of July and planning on doing some new things so the old need to go. I still have tons left and will be slowly adding more to the shop.

Giveaways, giveaways, giveaways! That seems to be my theme this month. I'm currently working with The Secret to Saving blog owner on doing a giveaway in a few weeks. Also trying to work with some others for more giveaways. Plus I'm hoping by the end of this month to host my own giveaway finally. I was thinking of waiting till I sold over a 100 coupon holders and since I was pushed over the 200 mark with my last order to my church, I have no more excuses. The only thing holding me back is lack of giveaway made!  So keep your eyes peeled for announcements of those giveaways.

The only other projects I have going on is making 100 notepads for my church. I have plenty of time to work on them so I'll be able to squeeze in the giveaways and a few other items. So enjoy all the new items and the shop and Happy crafting!

Go team go!

New coupon holders are up at the shop and 3 out of 4 of them are sport ones. I wanted to let everyone know that as of right now I only have Florida teams right now since that's where I live. However I'm going to be looking into getting more teams so if there is a particular one you like, let me know and I'll see what I can do! Here's just one of them and a new Disney one that was posted.

I still have the organizers to work on but those probably won't be done till this weekend. I have loads to do around the house as well. Happy crafting!

I did it!

Well ok almost did it. I managed to finish 140 out of the 150 requested. It turned out to be ok, we had a few extras. I couldn't have done it without my mom's help. She was such a trooper every time I dropped off a stack or basket of something and said they needed to be cut or tape put on. I'm mad at myself for not taking a picture of them all but it didn't occur to me till the majority of them were handed out. The only picture I have is this one, it has 34 of them in it

I'm so pleased with the way they turned out. Since they were for our Outreach I had to incorporate something about our church and this is what I came up with
Sorry for the bit of glare on it. But it has my church's name, the misson statement and the church website on it. Going shopping for this order was kinda fun. Nothing like spending a ton of money knowing you'll get it back. In case you were wondering, this is what I had to get, mind you the pattern paper I just used from my huge stash so I didn't need to buy those:

3 packs of solid 8.5x11
6 packs of Kraft 8.5x11 paper
8 refills for my tape runner
5ft of sticky back Velcro
4 solid 12x12 cardstock sheets
5 solid 8.5x11 sheets
10 things of stick tape (+ another I had to run out to get)
It was definitely alot! Now I have few stacks of scrap paper leftover. Will definitely have fun trying to figure out ways to use it all up. Also a major plus is I have extra cover pieces cut so new coupon holders will be posted on the site within a week. I don't think I can do anymore this weekend! I have enough cleanup to last for awhile. And the shopping organizers I started are at the top of my to-finish list so keep your eyes out for them as well. Happy Crafting!
